METAL PRIMING FOR A SUPERIOR FINISH AT CLARENCE VALLEY POWDER COATING

It is important to prepare your metals properly with a priming barrier to get the best powder coating results. Clarence Valley Powder Coating offers expert metal priming acid treatments at highly competitive prices.

For better adhesion, corrosion protection, surface hardness and chemical resistance, metal priming is an important part of the powder coating process.

Clean metal, by itself, can be immediately powder coated, but that won’t give you superior performance and weathering characteristics. A good pre-treatment allows the powder to bond better with the metal and prevents flash rust prior to powder coating.

In extreme environments, it’s important to take added precautions in order to ensure the longevity of powder coatings. For high humidity, polluted or coastal areas, metal priming offers the added protection needed to improve the quality of applications.

Suited to non-ferrous materials, such as aluminium, zinc and copper, metal priming provides improved corrosion protection, as well as removal of small surface imperfections.
